    E3 2010: Clipstravaganza! [Updated 6-17-10]

Now I know I had some pretty harsh words for E3. I mean it was just hours ago I went on a rant for the ages that has almost completely temporarily ostracized me from the rest of me E3 supporting nerds out there. But in keeping with last years theme, I stay vigilante and dedicated to making an entirely too long brog posting about the video released from this overly bloated expo.

Sidenote: Now that I think about it, I'm thinking about writing a 'low lights' of E3 posting in the future. And trust me...Ubisoft is taking up a lot of that.

I digress. Let's get to these fancy clips. I'll keep updating the post as soon as I get my hands on some uploaded video. Up first...Star Wars: The Old Republic...again.

[Update: Here Are The Press Conferences In Their Entirety -- Nintendo (part 2), Sony, MicrosoftEA, Ubisoft , Konami]

Thanks to 1up, Machinima, IGN, Ustream and Youtube for the video!

    E3 2010: Shouldn't I Be More Excited?

Let Me Get This Straight. As A Form Of Exemplary Entertainment We're Going To Showcase The Power Of Our Mighty Gaming Culture, By Showcasing The Physical Accomplishments Of The Cirque? Failing To See A Connection

To start, I should acknowledge that my lack of enthusiasm for this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo ... expo, is a notion that has been long felt by veteran goers. So please excuse me if I am both late to the party and if these sobering words pelt your wall of hype for an event I have never attended and, at this point, never hope to attend.

Commercial Break: Sensory Boxes --Sponsored By University of Redlands

ENVISION : Step into the sensory box from SUPERBIEN on Vimeo.

When you see a video like this you wonder, "Man, why didn't I think of that?", and "Wow does my head hurt!"

Well I'm here to tell you two things. One of which is that you probably need to take a nap because that sensory video probably gave you a loopy headache. The second is, once you wake up, venture over to the University of Redlands website and help yourself by checking out the many degree possibilities available.

Commercial Break: See Diver Dive In Big Blue Hole

There is really something super creepy about the open sea. At least there is to me. Guillame Nery clearly doesn't have the same phobia. He is the current World Champion Free Diver, which I had no idea was a title you could hold until the posting of this very brog.

This is the deepest blue hole in the world [Dean's Blue Hole] and I'm pretty sure this is a place that houses giant octopi and other miscellaneous sea beasts, but that doesn't stop a shoeless Nery. The video is amazing and just by looking at the camera setup, high production and quality.

Props to Julie Gautier for film this whilst holding her breath. Don't worry, it just so happens she's the world's greatest...breath holder? Well, you get what I mean.

There is a bit of a dirty joke somewhere in this post, but I'm a bit tapped at the moment. Enjoy

Infamous Review: Cool Game In All, But Open World Games Feel Passé

See Cole Jump. See Cole Smash. Now Do It Several Times Over While Levelling Up And Keeping A Close Eye On What Missions You Need To Complete In Order To Advance The Story.

Consider this a partial-review of Sucker Punch's geographically vast game. My type-A gaming personality would not allow me to complete such a rich single-player experience. That's what I tell myself. The truth is Infamous suffers from what this current 'evolved' state of game design seems all to eager to subscribe to. Infamous is a post-apocalyptic open world tale, in which you play as a character who may choose one of two paths: Heroic or Thug. Though this formula of game architecture has been seen in games like PrototypeRed Faction: Guerrilla, and Mass Effect -- Infamous's manner of storytelling is what makes this experience unique.

Video: Bboy El Nino Vs. Bboy Junior

I've been trying to catch up on a lot of videos and I realized that its been a while since I've posted something bboy/bgirl oriented on the brog. Here we see an exhibition battle at Seattle's "Claws Out II" event between Flava Squad's El Nino, who I believe is from Boston/NY area and Bboy Junior from the Seattle area.

Though El Nino kept a steady pace and pretty much controlled where this battle went. Junior's foot work was very much in tune with the music in some spots. That is something very hard to do especially during an exhibition battle which usually are weird to begin with.

Props to Mikeskee of Furious Styles Crew. For more info e-mail him here.

The HTC HD2 Emulates My Favorite Fighting Games? Sold

For the record, T-Mobile nor HTC are sponsors for the Brog. I just think this is pretty freaking cool. With the help of the emulation wizards behind FpseCE -- a game emulator available for download via the Windows Mobile marketplace. The HD2 is capable of emulating games like:

    GTA 2

    Tekken 3

    Street Fighter Alpha 3

    Time Crisis

    Wipeout XL

I know that WinMo 6.5 gets a ton of flack for basically being a smartphone's crippling death nail. I mean supposedly T-Mobile has had to promote the phone as a $9 a month phone. Well, this sold me, hopefully I'll put up a review before the summer is out.

My Life As A North Campus Video Employee

I Worked In The Front Room Area. The Shelves Were Well Stocked This Day. That Doorway You See Would Eventually Become The Owner's Office. Because They Had To Close and Sell Stores To Make Rent.

For the past three years I've worked at Columbus, Ohio's North Campus Video -- I've been documenting on a semi-weekly basis my experiences at the 31-year old mom and pop business. What you should know is this is a completely biased account of how one particular ex-employee saw in the underbelly of a Columbus landmark. Unfortunately, the manner in which I was laid off has actually stayed my blade [for the time being]. My original account of my tenure was going to be poisoned-tipped and rage-filled, but in the interest in the off chance of me getting the little details wrong -- I'll leave names out.

I Love Bill Nye [The Science Guy]

I really mean this with every heterosexual bone in my body, but man is Bill Nye cool. Aside from his amazing life story, Bill Nye can take time out of his atom cracking day to answer the average person's concerns about the huge oil spill.

The result is pretty cool [of course] because I initially thought he would have dismissed all of the suggestions [especially the hay one].
