    Commercial Break: Seahorse Has Seahorsies

Its been a while since I've posted some consistent Commercial Breaks, but rest assured the I'm working my way back into a groove. I'm working on a big update explaining my my posts have been so infrequent, but expect more interviews, more ranty articles and reviews. By the time I'm done with this site they'll be as many articles in one month as there are seahorses in that vid....oh my god! That's a ton of seahorses.

    What Is A Goldfrapp?

I spotted this on Sir Arthur Gies' twitter page and was wondering were we went wrong as a society. I sent it to my boss at work and he seemed to be at least more privy to this 'Goldfrapp' [which in gaming terms translates to 'majestic fart' give or take a vowel] group than I could ever hope. This is what the kids are into? This is how babies are made? Songs like this made by people like this confuse me.

80's fashion has long been heralded as humanities greatest evolutionary drawback, so I would assume that most popular 80's music functioned as a synthetic catalyst into what could only be described as...well Goldfrapp. But hey, I'm in my late twenties, maybe I am reaching that point where new-old music [where the new music is inspired/copied by an old aesthetic] doesn't quite strike the eardrums as pleasantly as they use to.

    Seriously though, people like this?

The Brog Has A Sponsor! The University Of Redlands

The Brog and the University Of Redlands have decided to partner up. So from time to time on the site you'll see info and news about the top university in Southern California, please feel free to peruse their site...when, of course, you've had your fill of the brogs.

Not convinced huh? Still wondering why you should click on that red link at the end of this article? How about seeing if you can obtain a bachelor's degree in business? University of Redlands can help you achieve that goal and much more. All you have to do is move your eyeballs and fingers. You're doing that right now!

Let's say you've graduated already and are looking to move to the Los Angeles area. Why not continue your education or at least spread the word to someone who would benefit from attending a prestigious university like Redlands?

They have a robust Arts & Science program which would allow you studious whippersnappers to get degrees ranging from business to education. Well, that's it, there's your opportunity. Check out their website and see if you find something interesting.

Remember, if you check out the Redlands University site you're helping the Brog and all of its glorious content stay alive. And I know you want to help the Brog right? Well then what are you waiting for? Spread the word to people interested in continuing their education at a distinguished institution. And if you see something you like tell the lovely people at Redlands, that the brog sent ya.

Nightmare On Elm Street Review: How To Fail At Remakes 101

With Such A Memorable Impression The Original Nightmare On Elm Street Left On Fans, This Remake Sought To Destroy All Hope Of Fond Memories Of The Franchise. Mission Accomplished.

Nightmare On Elm Street fails as, what one considers, a bad horror movie. Think about a movie like Twilight. A movie where all compelling action and horror thrives on characters behaving in a manner that goes against logical thought, but somehow the cast of idiots manages to survive a near death experience. In this remake of Nightmare On Elm Street, director Samuel Bayer decides to go against conventional wisdom by constructing an absolutely conventional failure of horror film. There is no form of realistic horror in Bayer's remake. There is no character worth vying for and worse off, Freddy isn't funny. Nightmare On Elm Street has no entertainment value because every aspect of this movie is devoid of anything interesting. How do you make a movie about killing dumb privileged teenager's in their sleep this awful?

So Conan And Google Walked Into A Bar...

Just when I thought I was 'over the Conan hype' something like this occurs. Conan O'Brien [ex-host of Late Night With Conan O'Brien and ex-intern host of The Tonight Show With Whatshisface] and Google decided to site down one evening and do what they do best -- draw attention to themselves. I'm usually anti-obvious shameless promotion, but I gotta say -- I'd do it for the free stuff too.

Nier: Justin McElroy Dies For Our Sins

Unfortunately for Mr. McElroy of Joystiq.com fame, I have moved Nier up into Gamefly queue. Why? Well it has been a whole month since I've played White Knight Chronicles so I am tempted to see will there be another game that surpasses that bland and boring piece of work. But this, I mean, wow. Fish catching.

People learn from Justin's and my [eventual] mistake. Don't let his pain and torture be in vain.
