    Valkyrie Movie Review

"My Eye Is Totally Not There Brah."

So Tom Cruise has decided to put all of his production money & swagger into what seems to be Bryan Singer's biggest effort since X-men [we'll just pretend Superman Returns didn't happen]. What is most interesting in Valkyrie from the get-go would be the amazing cast. Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Terence Stamp all staples in British cinema deliver solid performances in this film. People who seem to be almost unrecognizable in their roles would be Eddie Izzard who plays Gen. Erich Fellgiebel and David Bamber who [no-offense] visually could be a carbon copy of the very real and dead Adolf Hitler [which reminds me, isn't Hollywood dying for a zombie Hitler trilogy series?]

    Uwe Boll News: "Visiting Uwe"

"Visiting Uwe" is free and streaming as I type this on WS-Avant Garde.  I haven't watched it yet, but I plan to before the weekend is out.  It is a 50 minute documentary [not a mockumentary] of the man who has brought us such gems as:  Far Cry, Blood Rayne I & II, Postal and...ah...well if you're still reading this you are familiar with this mans work and obsession of producing some of the worst movies [let alone movies based off of video games] in this day and age. If I don't get to it in time, I expect you guys to tell me what you think.

    JCVD: Movie Review

Looking Forward To Universal Soldier III...

If you were as psyched to see this movie like I was let me go ahead and give you a pat on the back.

For me this year has been kind of lackluster as far as movie-going goes. The fact that most studios and production companies refuse to release their 'avant-garde' or 'thinky flicks' at a more steady pace during the year has to infuriate film enthusiast [right?]. A large majority of movies with depth or film festival darlings all get dumped around the December-January time frame for their respective nominations. JCVD will more than likely not get one.  It is a movie with a great heart [on paper], but ultimately casting and inconsistent direction sours a rare, but decent Jean-Claude Van Damme performance.

Cartoon Network Rick Rolls Macy's TGD Parade

I guess that one float...based on the kids who stay in a foster home have found a daddy in Rick Ashtley.  I wonder how many viewers at home seen this and sang along.

    Nikon D3X - I Just Puked A Rainbow

Tears Of Blood...Tears Of Blood My Friend...

Not to be outdone by Canon's 5D Mark II, Nikon introduced the D3X last week. A professional level monster of a camera. Holding 24.5 megapixels under the hood. I am pretty sure this small fortune will be on a lot of photographer's Christmas lists [but let's see who actually gets one]. The small fortune in question? $7,999.99...yeah...you are probably wondering if you should get another car or this camera aren't you?

    Uncharted 2: Among Theives teaser

I don't know much about a SPIKE Video Game awards, but apparently the new Uncharted game will be getting premiered there.  Will it be just a trailer [probably]? Will there be in-game gameplay [probably not].  Uncharted was one of only a handful of nextgen titles that I was a huge fan of.  It was an original IP.  Had a likeable character and a pretty 'okay' story.

    Movie Review: Australia

You Gotta Admit, Out of All The Posters You've Seen For This Movie...This One Is The Most Hilarious

Before you read this review here are some things you should know:

Yes this review will have spoilers! No, Paul Hogan does not make a special guest appearance. No there will not be any 'roo' or Didgeridoo references. Finally, yes, I am very much disappointed with this flick. I has so many good portions and parts, but crikey, I just can't rap my boomarang around this big budget piece of fluff.

Gillie The Kid Exposes Rapper As A Predator?

Dirty Reik a guy I have never heard of and I'm sure most of you guys haven't either, is a part of a rap group called Major Figgas.  Above is a diss video/freestyle to Gillie the Kid [ex-Major Figgas member] who was probably the most talented of the bunch.

However, instead of responding in kind, with another freestyle. Gillie goes that extra mile, by pulling up Dirty Reik's rap sheet only to find that Dirty Rick has had multiple cases of being arrested for sexual misconduct to minors.

This is beyond hilarious. Gillie has definitly gained extra points in my book for playing the role of Chris Hansen.

After the jump...Gillie and Dirty Reik's Baby Mama further expose Dirty Reik as a father...

    Prodigy's Conspiracy Letter From Jail

Just What Is Going On In The Mind Of Prodigy

For those not in the know, Prodigy is part of a now classic rap group known as Mobb Deep [if you like hardcore rap like I do...you should look up their earlier stuff! You may like it.]. Prodigy has had a tough break as of late. His last album didn't do so stellar. His last group album was just out right trash ["Blood Money...one of the biggest disappointments in the past 5 years in hiphop]. Being affiliated with 50 Cent's G-Unit label hasn't done him wonders.

Prodigy has been in and out of jail for the past decade, but once he signed to 50's label, things seemed to be turning around for him. Late last year, however, resulted in one the oddest arrest [barring T.I.] for fans of the rap star.  Prodigy was caught with a gun in his SUV and with his record...I'll assume it violated his probation along with several other laws. What sucks though, is that he was pulled over...just for the giggles it seems. Cops weren't able to give a specific reason as to why they pulled over Prodigy other than "he was driving in a suspicious vehicle". Though I stand by that Prodigy did this to himself, this only further pours gas on the fire of the 'hiphop cop' theory.

Since, Prodigy has been in jail, he's been a busy little bee.  I'm sure he's no doubt penning his next couple albums, but what you may have over looked in regards to Prodigy's mental stability would be his wealth of knowledge about the Illuminati. That's right folks...our Prodigy has turned out to be quite the conspiracy theorist...Prodigy along with being a poet [and knowing it], writes a blog for VIBE.com...literally...he writes them!

After the jump his handwritten letters from jail...
