Commercial Break: Thundercats Movie Was Bound For Fail

With as much crap Hollywood produces, it's surprising what -- even they, won't allow for human consumption. Above we see a well animated trailer of a young Lion-O versus Slithe. You're probably thinking to yourself, "Self, where the f**k are the rest of the Thundercats?!" To this I say, you know how much Hollywood loves placating the growing, nerd-man childs of this generation?

How many origin stories have we sat through? Plenty of weak plots all so we can be bilked out of more money from movies that will eventually squeeze the last bit of blood from an uninspired stone [yes, stones can be inspired]. But hey, thanks Hollywood for not pooping out another cinematic turd...

Video: Kinect's Joy Ride Fail

By now this video clip has circulated your favorite popular blogging sites and has garnered almost a half a million views as of me posting this entry. I want you to think about a couple things going on in this video. Kinect has been picked [in an odd sort of manner] for being this holiday season's high-tech Furby or Tickle Me Elmo toy. Much like political campaign strategies, advertising dollars control the masses. There were talks of having this Microsoft branded device in your living room being able to give you some form of a Minority Report experience. I'm guessing the video below will suffice as a lofty pipe dream being made into a kind of reality.

New Moon: The Best Shirtless Teenage Angst

Although I have seen both of the 'Twilight movies' this is the first movie I have seen in the theater. By the time you read this, you will realize that New Moon has had one of the best opening weekends in movie history. Eclipsed by the highly praised Dark Knight and the forgettable, Spiderman 3. What New Moon has over the aforementioned blockbusters is a fan base so truly dedicated to this series, that they are willing to tolerate some of the worst acting and character chemistry seen since Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox. New Moon has everything in a movie a logical thinking person should hate. The story is tedious, the world has all the trappings of a trashy novel aimed at teens and abandoned housewives. The stars could be replaced by shirt-less mannequins. And the movie is kind of offensive to Native Americans. Thank you New Moon, I will remember the laughs forever.

Sad news? Well...it isn't the greatest news to here today.  Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports reported today of the news of mixed-martial arts organization EliteXC is unfortunately [or fortunately] closing its doors. From bad business deals with shareholders and fellow MMA company contributors to marketing an unprofessional fighter to fight 'over-the-hill' vets or 'unseasoned upstarts' looks to be what what did the more crassy than classy noob organization.
