Reading Material: From Lil Jon's Downward Spiral To 'Boning'

Even Lil John's career wasn't safe from nimble, web-active fingers.

One of the main reasons it's hard for me to write [besides the 37 other hobbies I'm currently involved in] is because I'm trying to make a conscious effort to catch up on articles I should have read eons ago. Let's expand this limited vocubulary, right?

Seriously, every time I open up Google Chrome, I have a minimum of 13 tabs staring back at me. Maybe I do need to find that 25th hour in the day? Or, maybe there is this subconscious old-guy laying deep within the recesses of my cortex, begging me to read these amazing articles on a printed piece of paper. Maybe I'm just lazy?

Be that as it may, let this serve to the people who know me via the net as well as in real life [yes, I typed the whole thing, not that dumb ass 'IRL' abbreviation], that whenever I hear people say, "You post so much on Facebook or on Twitter!"

I'm always thinking, "You should see the stuff I don't post."

After the jump is a pool of articles that I've collected probably since last year. You'll probably notice that, though I visit 1up a great deal, I have yet to catch up on an 8th of their awesome, in-depth, cover stories. You'll also notice that I read a lot about human sexuality, because...well...people are f**king weird. But so am I.

    Random

-- Thought Collective has become one of my new reading spots. No seriously, go there and waste a couple lunch breaks like I have. Here's why.

-- Todd Zuniga's art project, opens next month. It has a lot of words. It has a lot of poets and writers I've met and respect.

-- I try and keep the blog apolitical. I personally think the issues covered in this article points blame at both sides of the aisle [which is usually the case]. Why Isn't Wall Street In Jail?

-- As a photographer, I think it'd be shameful for me to not bring up The Big Picture.

    Games

Split-Screen aggregates the 'Nazzi' trend that the games industry has reviewed since the beginning of the trend.

    -- Follow the Nazi-bricked road.

-- One of the reasons why I blog: illuminating shady practices. Thanks Arthur & Jim.

-- Most of the current games I've been playing [including God of War] summed up in two minutes.

-- Though I have about seven or eight issues of Edge to catch up on, their web-stuff is pretty swell too. Gay game characters portrayal.

-- Amazing article about a boy who stole Half-Life 2.

-- I've also made a conscious effort to catch up on all of the 1up cover stories and interviews.

Well, let me know if any of these tickled your blog-reading fancies. Now that I'm look at this list, I'm realizing how much work I have to do. Also, I'm realizing that the is a LOT of incredible writing happening in so many tucked-away corners of the internet.
