So This Is What Lost Is Like?

    Oh word? Yeah I'm Good...

So I caught the first 20 minutes of the lost season premiere.  Mind you I have had minimal viewing experiences with 'the LOST' and have had it spoiled for me by several over zealous fanboys [and girl].  People come into the video store trying to sell me on this show, but in the same breath tell me the ins-and-outs of characters I know little to nothing about. Guys, if you want to sell me on a serial that looks to be sewned together by seals and balls with plot point words drawn on them [island, wheel, time machine]... try not telling me so much about a show that sounds very close to the plot of a Metal Gear Solid game.

The Wrestler - a review from a Wrasslin' fan

    Straight Outta Jersey...

If you were thinking Milk or the Dark Knight were your favorite movies of the year, you may want to check out The Wrestler. Mickey Rourke stars as well...a Wrestler who was once a big name about 20 years ago, but now has fallen on hard times. Rourke plays Randy "The Ram" Robinson who has had substance abuse problems from recreational drugs to performance enhancing since, from what I can assume, his glory days. Randy has an estranged daughter; whom of which may or may not be a lesbian. He's in love with a stripper who is also coming to terms with her age in a business that thrives off of youth. You must know that The Wrestler is one of the most straight forward movies I have seen in quite some time. Seeing as I 'use to be' a big fan of 'Wrasslin' as a child and somewhat in my teens, it is great to see a work by Aronofsky no less, that is comparable to Beyond The Mat.

Shoryuken & 1up combine for Street Fighter IV impressions

Things don't really get super interesting until about 30 or 40 mins in.  Good to know Rose is a force to be wreckoned with.  Sagat, although I love playing as him...has always seemed cheap to me.  And let us all weep for Fei Long.

Milk: Review [took me long enough...]

    http://www.cinema.ucla.edu/festival/fp10/presimages/HarveyMilk.gif

It took me long enough didn't it? About 2 weeks removed from watching this movie there were about 2 'other' reviews typed, but fell prey to my 'edit-friendly' fingers. What you should know:

    • I will be criticizing this movie under the pretense that you, the reader, already know that this movie is above average [its amazing].
    • Seeing as I have already written two 'over a 1000 word' reviews, this will be a more condensed version that gets to the essentials of content and quality in this movie.

Watchmen: Fox Getting A Slice Of Pie

    I'm Blue. Dah-doo-dee-dah-doo-dah

So FOX and Warner settled out of court a couple days ago. Making a movie I was 'semi-anticipating', slightly more..."anticipatorial" [that's a word...see I just made it]. Here's the deal:

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the deal is said to involve a sizable cash payment to Fox and a percentage of the film's boxoffice grosses; Fox will not be a co-distributor on the film, nor will it co-own the "Watchmen" property, but it will share in revenue derived from it. The studios released a joint statement last night.

    Source: Hollywood Reporter

Something's telling me the homie Lloyd Levin [producer of Watchmen] isn't to happy. Especially since his last freak out.

    Ben Stein vs Roger Ebert

The fight that determines the fate of the world

You probably want to read this. While most media outlets are covering the latest celebrity beefs, something you may have missed in recent months would be that Ben "Bueller Stein came out with a DVD called "eXpelled: No Intelligence Allowed". If you are interested in an anti-Evolution documentary this DVD is for you, unfortunately it wasn't for me [luckily I was paid to watch this.  Apparently it wasn't for Ebert either, because of this...Sir Ben Stein took the neglect personally.

Roger Ebert decides to, in thorough detail, appease Stein by giving him one of the in depth reviews ever.  What is interesting about Ebert's rant is; although the manner in which he delivers his critism is muy intelligente, you can totally see the level of 'piss-tivity' he's reached.

So This Is What Happens When You Make The Ebert Mad...
